I’ve always been a sucker for bold watches. I like to keep a good collection of shoes and watches as I feel these are the kind of accessories that can really make you stand out from the crowd. But recently I’ve been disappointed by what I’ve been seeing in the market – overpriced products that are underwhelming when it comes to craftsmanship.

So, after searching online for a watch to gift to my father on his birthday, I bumped into this Instagram ad talking about Khalsa 1699’s The Heritage series.

I was first, as always proud when I see the Khanda Sahib but naturally a bit sceptical, so I thought about doing my own research on the brand. That’s when I came across this publication in GQ, talking about Khalsa 1699 and I really started getting interested in seeing one in the flesh. And just a few weeks later, that happened!

I met my uncle at a family reunion party, and he was wearing the Heritage series. It was one of the mightiest-looking watches I’ve ever seen. I instantly felt how unapologetically bold it was; and how solid and sturdy the entire timepiece looked. I decided I had to buy one for my father and one for myself. There were a few different colours, I chose the Black color. The ordering process was straightforward, I am in the United States, and the watch was delivered in 8 days.

What do I think about my Heritage watch after one month?

So, what do I think about the watch after owning it for about a month? For me, the most striking feature of the watch is the gold Khanda Sahib, proudly sitting inside a gold dial. In fact, the Khanda Sahib is present in many details of the watch, including the back of the case, the second’s hand, clasp as well as the crown.

From my personal use, I can tell you that this timepiece will last you a lifetime.
